I get this one a lot. It often follows with, “Where are you from?”

First, it was the notorious: “You’re pretty for a black girl.”, but people have smartened up now; what used to be, “You’re pretty for a black girl” has now become, “ Wow! What are you mixed with?” or “Where are you from?”
Canada, ladies and gentlemen. Canada.
This implies that you can’t be just black and beautiful; you just have to be mixed with something.
