3. Don’t speak “ghetto”.
This one really grinds my gears; I’ve had a couple of instances where I had to “check” a couple of people. There is nothing more offensive than when you go up to a black woman and say “what’s up, girlfraaand!!!” or the classic “Oh no she di-in’t”.
Going up to a “sista” you’re not really close with and saying something along those lines makes it appear that you are implying a stereotype. It’s unfortunate enough to see black women being presented as loud and “hard headed” in mainstream media.
